Cutervo
Cutervo National Park was estabilished by Law N 13694, on September 9, 1961.
This park is located in the department of Cajamarca, province of Cutervo, district of San Andres de Cutervo, it has a surface of 2,500 hectares, Its main attractive is the Guacharos Cave, located at one hour walk from San Andres.
In this cave we can find a colony of guacharos which is a nocturnal bird (Steatornis caripensis) also there is a stream that flows under this caves where the catfish (Astroblepus rosei) inhabits.
Local fauna includes animals suc as the jaguar (Panthera onca), the ocelot (Leopardus Pardalis), the spectacled bear (Tremarctos ornatus) the outter (lutra longicaudis), the wild cat (Oncifelis colocolo), the tapir (Tapicus pinchaque) and the Peruvian national bird called Gallito de las Rocas (Rupicola Peruviana).
Flora at the Cutervo National Park is rich and varied and it includes beautiful orchids and a vast forest of trees such as the cascarilla (Cinchona sp.) cedar (Cedreia sp) oak tree (Nectandra sp.) and walnut tree (Juglans neotropica).
The main goal of this areMain objective of the Cutervo National Park is to protect the flora and fauna, and the conservation of the Cordillera de los Tarros.

The main goal of this area is to protect the flora and fauna, as soon as the conservation of the landscape beauty in the (Chain of Mountains) Cordillera de los Tarros.
